Out of all the shorts I’ve picked up recently, Vuori has become surprisingly addictive—and these are easily my favorites. The fabric is incredibly soft and comfortable. The only time I’m not crazy about them is when the sun hits directly and I’m wearing a white T-shirt; in that light, the Sky Grey can look a bit different. In normal lighting, though, it’s a really flattering light grey that pairs best with darker or mid-tone shirts.

So far I’ve tried the Kore Lined, Aim Short, Grafton, Ponto, Banks, Crosscourt, Barren, and Elevate Kore, and I’ve already collected three pairs of Fleet Sport Short, another one the way. Next on my list: Train Tech Short with zipper pockets.

The circle logo isn’t working; subtle branding is always better. What really matters are the pockets. Zipper pockets, cargo pockets, hidden pockets — and there’s still one pocket option your competitors are executing better. At the end of the day, people only need secure space for three things: Phone (which often doubles as a key), Wallet, AirPods.

If you perfect those three pocket functions, I’ll keep buying Vuori. Also, think versatility — cruise, travel, work, gym. That’s where you win.
